Glamping and Camping on the Rio! No place but Silver Thread Basecamp along US-160. Come enjoy our luxury Covered Wagons, spacious RV sites, a rustic cabin and tent camping, too. The covered wagons come with a full bathroom, a/c and heat, Queen bed and set of bunk beds. We have 11 River Front RV sites (FHU, 50A), providing guests with Rio Grande access unrivaled in the San Luis Valley. All RV sites here are FHU and have either 30A or 50A service. The rustic cabin has many modern amenities, including refrigerator, microwave, wi-fi, Smart TV and ceiling fan. The 5 tent sites are nestled among the trees and conveniently located near the bath-house and dishwashing station. (No extra charge for hearing the lovely Rio Grande just a short walk away!) Silver Thread Basecamp also offers coin op laundry, a quaint store and nice, centrally-located community building for our guests. We are open from May 1 until November 1 and can’t wait to see you real soon.
