Low water and adverse conditions on the Rio Grande have led to the hard decision to cancel. We feel protecting the trout and natural resources is of utmost importance.

8200 Mountain Sports and San Luis Valley Trout Unlimited host an annual 2.5 day Golf & Fly Fishing Tournament. Proceeds benefit SLV Trout Unlimited and are earmarked for the Rio Grande & South Fork drainages.
General Tournament Format
Registration will open mid-June 2027. Two-person teams will compete for prizes and bragging rights. One day of fly fishing on the Rio Grande and one day of golf at the Rio Grande Club. One point for each Brown caught and two points for each Rainbow caught. Day two is an 18-hole, two-man scramble. Your Team's total Trout score will be subtracted from the Teams total Golf score. The lowest score wins!
