Community Spaces in South Fork
South Fork offers several public outdoor parks and community spaces.
Rickel Park
Rickel Park, situated adjacent to the Rio Grande and Highway 160, offers an exceptional year-round recreational experience. The park features a recently constructed multi-use court, generously funded by the community and the South Fork Friends Foundation. In Summer/Fall months, the court can be used for roller blading, roller skating, and bicycling. The playground, grassy spaces, and picnic area make a great family-friendly pit-stop.
In winter months, the court space at Rickle Park becomes a fantastic skating and hockey rink. A skate shack holds free-to-use hockey and figure skates. Sledding along the edge of the park is a favorite pastime of locals and visitors alike.
