Kick-off the holiday season in South Fork. First is the annual Yuletide Lighting of the trees at the Visitor Center and historic water tower: See the incredible holiday lights, enjoy Christmas music, Santa Claus (with gifts for every child), snacks, cookies, hot chocolate, and general holiday merriment! On Saturday, Winterfest brings local vendors to display and sell food, crafts, holiday goods, antiques, artwork, and more.

The annual Yuletide Lighting of the trees at the Visitor Center and historic water tower happens Friday! Join us for a festive evening filled with holiday cheer! Enjoy free delicious cookies, hot cocoa, and cider. Santa will be visiting with gifts for the kids, and there will be Christmas carols and LIVE Music, a bonfire, and more!

Please consider bringing some canned or shelf-stable food to donate to the Alamosa Food Pantry. We have plenty of volunteer opportunities available for those who want to get involved! Winterfest Holiday Market & Craft Show at the Rio Grande Club

Every November, the Winterfest Holiday Market takes over the Rio Grande Club & Resort in South Fork as part of the larger Yuletide & Winterfest celebration, drawing more than two dozen vendors from across Colorado who bring high-quality, affordably priced goods—everything from food and holiday treats to crafts, antiques, artwork, décor, and more. Spanning two full floors, the market allows shoppers to wander among local artisans offering truly unique gifts while enjoying festive snacks and warm holiday vibes. Santa even makes a guest appearance for photo opportunities, making it a family-friendly outing.
By shopping here, visitors support local small businesses and artisans while crossing off items on their Christmas lists.
